Wedding Faq's

Come Share our Special Day with Us

The wedding will take place on Sunday, November 12th, on Coco Cay. We are planning to have the wedding at 10 a.m. (the exact time is subject to change), followed by a light reception. A bigger reception will take place later in the day, and details will be forthcoming. In between the ceremony and reception, we encourage everyone to enjoy the beaches, pools, food and enormous amount of fun on Royal Caribbean’s private island, Coco Cay.

Traveling with a passport or passport card is ideal. If you do not have that, you do need proof of citizenship (the original or certified copy of your birth certificate) and identification (driver’s license); US citizens under 16 years old do not need a driver’s license, just the proof of citizenship. If you are a citizen of a country outside the U.S., please check with the consulate of your country to determine exactly what is needed to visit the United States and the Bahamas.

The automatic service gratuity charged by Royal Caribbean is $16.00 per person, per day for guests in Junior Suites and below, or $18.50 per person, per day for guests in Grand Suites and above, applied daily to each guest’s SeaPass account. The tip applies to individual guests of all ages and stateroom categories. As a way to reward the crew members for their outstanding service, tips are shared between dining, bar, & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, and other hotel service teams who work behind the scenes to enhance the cruise experience. To avoid the daily fee on your SeaPass account, you are welcome to prepay gratuities prior to sailing. This charge of $48 per person for the entire cruise is typically done at the time of final payment. If you prefer to pay onboard the ship and you qualify for the $50 per stateroom ($25 per person) onboard credit (registering by April 1st), you may use your onboard credit to offset the gratuities ie: gratuities are $48 – $25 onboard credit = $23 per person charge for gratuities.

While cruises are a great opportunity to unplug, if you need to get online for work or other reasons, that is very doable. Royal Caribbean works with cellular networks to provide the ability to connect your device through “cellular at sea.” These roaming rates to utilize your device are determined by your cellular provider. They can be very expensive. Prior to your sailing, it is recommended that you contact your cellular provider for more information on these rates and the special packages available. Texting is usually inexpensive, but please check with your carrier to find out just how inexpensive. Some carriers offer a Travel Pass for a fee, i.e., with Verizon, it is $10 per day for international travel. Please note that if you purchase something like this, it will only work in Nassau. If you purchase an internet package, you should be able to communicate on the ship and in Coco Cay using Whatsapp or other messaging apps.

Royal Caribbean VOOM, the fastest internet at sea, is now available on every Royal Caribbean ship. The onboard WiFi speed is six times faster than any other cruise ships so it looks like we selected the right cruiseline. Internet packages can be purchased through the Cruise Planner or onboard the ship. The rates are constantly changing, but most recently the price for the basic Surf package is $12.99 – $15.99 per device per day, with Surf & Stream is $17.99 – $19.99 per device per day. If you do not need internet access for the entire cruise, you can purchase a 24-hour pass at a higher rate. It is typically cheaper to make the purchase prior to sailing via the Cruise Planner or on the Royal Caribbean app. They also offer multi-device deals that you can share with a friend or family member.
