They can be very expensive. Prior to your sailing, it is recommended that you contact your cellular provider for more information on these rates and the special packages available. Texting is usually inexpensive, but please check with your carrier to find out just how inexpensive. Some carriers offer a Travel Pass for a fee, i.e., with Verizon, it is $10 per day for international travel. Please note that if you purchase something like this, it will only work in Nassau. If you purchase an internet package, you should be able to communicate on the ship and in Coco Cay using Whatsapp or other messaging apps.
